PERFECTLY PAIRED WINES
For a luxury, restaurant-quality meal at home, you need to be your own sommelier and pick out the right bottle of wine to complement your great-tasting food.
While you might think that turkey’s white meat would be best with a white wine, we think that red is a great choice this Christmas.
A turkey dinner is full of complex flavours, with rich gravy, parsnips, and brussels sprouts all bringing their own distinct tastes. A medium bodied wine with a bit of acidity will cope well with these competing flavours.
We recommend a bold pinot noir for a delicious wine pairing for your Christmas dinner. The balance of acidity and rich autumnal fruit flavours will complement the turkey without overpowering its subtleties and allow all of the sides to shine.
Its acidity also makes it a good choice with your leftover turkey sandwiches as it will cut through any fat. Especially delicious with chutney or cranberry sauce.
